Daniela Abelaira Roxo was born in Lisbon in 1977.
Her work has developed in several areas, starting with painting, and has been shown in several collective exhibitions. She has also worked as a set designer for dance and theatre productions. This was her area of study. Painting and drawing took Yella to illustration and to work for the national newspaper "Diário de Noticias", in the political opinion section, between 1997 and 2005. After completing a musical production course, in 2002, she moved to Berlin. During 2003 in Lisbon, the project Ye77a was born (read yella) and through her website, shows for the first time other areas where she develops her work: music, photography, drawing and clothing design; all within a single project.
Daniela Abelaira Roxo nasceu em Lisboa no ano de 1977.
Realizou trabalhos em diversas áreas, tendo começado pela pintura, onde realizou algumas exposições colectivas. Trabalhou também como Figurinista para teatro e dança, área onde se formou. A pintura e o desenho levaram Yella para a ilustração, sendo ilustradora no jornal "Diário de Noticias" na coluna diária de opinião política entre 1997 até 2005. Após um curso de produção musical, em 2002, muda-se para Berlim. No ano de 2003 em Lisboa nasce o projecto Ye77a (leia-se Yella) e através da construção de um web-site expõe pela primeira vez em diferentes áreas: musica, fotografia e desenho de roupa num só projecto.
